Care of your Tablecloth

Thank you for purchasing one of our acrylic coated, wipe clean table coverings, with a little care your wipe clean tablecloth should give you many years of service. We recommend you follow the care instructions below:

Always use with coated side up. We recommend if you have purchased a design which makes it difficult to determine which side is coated you make a small mark on the reverse of the cloth.

Certain food and drinks e.g. Red wine, curry, tomato based sauces etc. contain strong colourants and should be wiped up immediately.

If spills have dried onto the cloth, wipe with a damp sponge. Do not scrub as this may force the spill through the coating. (Tip: neat Fairy Liquid is very good for dried-on stains).

Most fabric manufacturers do not recommend using cleaning products other than soapy water. However in practice we occasionally use anti-bacterial spray which does not adversely affect the coating. Do not use bleach or fabric softener as these can damage the coating.

Your tablecloth can be washed occasionally by hand or on a 30 degree wash in washing machine - do not spin - line dry. Do not tumble dry.

After washing and drying, it is important to iron (medium heat: 2 dot setting) on the non coated reverse side as this helps to preserve the protective coating.

 

Please note, due to the increased use eco-friendly processes employed to produce fabrics (e.g. recycled fibres, bleach free) small dark flecks can sometimes appear in the fabric. These are part of the natural make-up of the fabric.
